CareText SMS is a web based text message service designed to assign personnel and check
their availability via SMS. CareText SMS is an aid to efficiency in the uses of resources for care in the community.
It can be used for example to assign Bank Staff, Care Staff, Nurses, temporary workers etc.. to a shift in a home or check their availability.
Also Service personnel, eg. Electricians, plumbers, can be contacted for emergency call out.
CareText SMS needs no extra hardware and can be used from any web-enabled PC anywhere.
Care Homes or Associations can maintain their individual home details, check who is assigned to a shift.
Care workers can check their shifts on the web and receive SMS messages to request their services.
On receiving a message, they can text back a reply. This reply can be routed either to an email address
or can be stored in a time ordered list available to view as a web page in an admin office. Once a person has
text back their availability , the same page is used to assign the person to the shift. CareText SMS can also be used
for contacting all kinds of mobile work forces. The web database can be attached to any internal database.To send a message to a UK mobile costs a maximum of 10p (plus VAT) per message but drops significantly, based on how many messages you send each month. CareText SMS uses the TextAnywhere web service gateway. All messages are treated as First Class and delivered as swiftly as they possible can be. To ensure the highest quality of message delivery, all messages are sent through UK operators (Vodafone,o2,Orange,T-Mobile,3 and Virgin Mobile).
The web service is pay as you go, no monthly fee and no minimum sign up time.
